WWF Panda Adoption- The Yuuth group has currently collected $201.00 for our panda that we will adopt through World Wildlife Fund. If you have any questions or are looking to contribute and help our panda, please speak to the Yuuth.
Sock-it to Poverty- We are continuing to collect socks for the men who work at the INN and the people who come to the INN. So far, we have collected about 360 pairs of socks and we will collect until May 1st. We are collecting mostly men’s white tube socks, but any donations will be greatly appreciated. (socks can be dropped off in the bin in front of the office)
Dolls for Darfur- In support of UUCCN’S efforts to Help Save Darfur, we are selling pins and magnets with tiny dolls attached to them. The money that we make from selling these dolls will go to helping the people of Darfur. You can purchase them and find more information about these dolls, on the "Dolls for Darfur" board that the Yuuth has created (in the back of Frantz Hall).
Go Green – Do you know how many plastic bags we go through a day? Are you interested in helping the environment in a very easy way? Then why don’t you consider purchasing a reusable "Go Green" bag. These bags aren’t expensive and they help the environment. There are many different patterns and they are very useful for shopping. We have a table, in the back of Frantz Hall, where you can purchase the bags and find some information about the "Go Green" project.
MS Walk- The MS Walk is coming up! It is scheduled for May 4th. Since MS has affected several members of our congregation, it is great that we can all help. Pre registration is required. Visit the team page at http://tinyurl.com/3motqo

Yuuth Service- The annual youth-led service was held on Sunday, April 13th. Our theme was the seven principles. It was a great success and we had lots of fun doing it.
Upcoming Events:
BBQ at Eisenhower Park: This will be a fun day with food, games and friends and family on Sunday May 18th at 2:00pm.
Recent Events:"That’s Not Fair" was an evening of discussion, snacks, games and worship that was hosted by SNUUC (Freeport) on Friday, March 7th. It was lots of fun.
UUCCN hosted LIAC Pasta night which took place on April 5th. It was a great success and LIAC raised lots of money for LI youth events and projects.
This program involves students in grades 7-12 from Long Island congregations in activities across the island. It is a nice way to make friends with students from other UU congregations. We usually have one trip each month where we visit different congregations, together with a fun activity.
